Ingredients:
1-16 ounce package of Nature's Rancher Beef Hot Dogs, 8 Hot Dogs butter-flied open to lie flat
8 slices of cheddar cheese (substitute your favorite cheese here!)
1/4 cup of 2% milk
1/4 cup of sour cream
1/4 cup of butter (margarine or other butter substitute works too!)
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Serves 8
Directions:
- Add peeled and sliced potatoes to a pot of water; boil until tender to fork touch
- Drain potatoes in a strainer and return to pot
- Mash potatoes with masher or smash with fork until all clumps are gone
- Add butter, milk, sour cream, salt and pepper to taste
- Turn on broiler
- Arrange butter-flied hot dogs on to baking pan
- Add a large scoop of potatoes on to each butter-flied open hot dog
- Add a slice of cheese to the top of the mashed potatoes on each hot dog and slightly press down
- Place the hot dogs in the oven under the broiler for approximately 3-5 minutes (broilers vary, please watch closely)
- When cheese is melted remove from the broiler
- Plate up with some green beans and you have a delicious meal!
